How will RestaurantJenius conduct the sale of my equipment?
RestaurantJenius will introduce the buyer & seller directly via telephone & email after RestaurantJenius. In many cases the buyer will have paid a good faith reserve deposit directly to RestaurantJenius equal to 16.5%. Reserve deposits are fully refundable with no questions asked if after physical inspection the buy decides for any reason not to complete the purchase. Upon satisfactory completion of physical inspection the buyer will pay the remaining purchase balance directly to you the seller /consignor of the equipment.

How much can I expect to receive from the sale of my equipment?
RestaurantJenius recommends to all seller / consignor's to please put on the buyer's hat and ask what would you be willing to pay for the item or items you want to sell?
Sellers / consignor of equipment can determine their own selling price as long as it does not exceed 55% of what the item cost when new excluding Gov. Tax. We recommend that consignor visit competing websites such as Craigslist, Amazon.Com & Ebay “ETC” to determine the selling price of their second-hand equipment.
Average depreciation schedule on second-hand equipment
- 1 year old or less 45% of the cost when new.
- 1 to 2-year-old 45% to 40% of the cost when new.
- 2 to 3-year-old 40% to 35% of the cost when new.
- 3 to 4-year-old 35% to 30% of the cost when new.
- 4 to 5-year-old 30% to 25% of the cost when new.
- 5 to 6-year-old 25% to 20% of the cost when new
Please bear in mind the average depreciation schedule is based on condition and age, some restaurant owners take meticulous care of their equipment which pays off when it's time to sell, if your equipment is in mint condition it's definitely possible to capture more than what's indicated on the above depreciation schedule.
Dirty equipment
We can not emphasize enough that dirty equipment will drastically affect the resale price of your second-hand equipment, condition and cleanliness is a key factor in what your second-hand equipment will sell for.
Broken equipment
